Lowell Boulevard Makeover...AWESOME!
With the completion of the first phase of the Lowell Boulevard improvements from 73rd Avenue to 75th Avenue, the immediate transformation is nothing more than phenomenal. The streetscape has been completely transformed with the undergrounding of the utilities, reconstruction of the street including new sidewalk integrating an off-street bicycle trail, preservation of large mature trees and new landscaping, and decorative pedestrian lighting. These improvements have cast the neighborhood in a different light to those passing through and prospective neighborhood businesses and residents. The remainder of Lowell Boulevard north to 78th Avenue is due to be completed in 2007.
Success of Phase 1 of Harris Park Townhomes Leads to Plans for Rowhouses and Condos
The success of the first 50 townhomes in the neighborhood has led Community Builders, Inc. to move forward with plans for an initial 12 rowhouses and 30 condominium units over commercial space. CBI and the City are in negotiations to finalize the construction financing of the units with construction possible as early March 2007. Preliminary base sales prices are from about $150,000 for the two bedroom condo units to $185,000 for the three bedroom townhomes. Persons interested in purchasing these units should contact Anne Heckler at (720) 875-3371.
